Student Council: Students may also serve on the Student Council as a officer or as a representative for their classroom. The Student Council engages in activities to promote a positive school climate, and has organized our annual anti-bullying assembly. They also participate in the planning of whole school activities such as our annual Halloween Dance, our Thanksgiving Feast, our Valentine's Day party, and Spirit Week.

Field Trips: The Phillips Academy offers a number of field trips throughout the school year to science museums, cultural museums, parks and recreational activities, etc. Community members have often commented on how well-behaved and engaged our students are on these outings!

Special Programs Week: Every spring, we engage in Special Programs Week. The purpose of Special Programs Week is to provide students with a more creative, hands on, independent living or real world learning experience. Students choose two classes to attend in the morning in place of the regular schedule. (The afternoon schedule remains the same). Some offerings have been Recycled Runway, Kite-Making, A Day in the Life, Outdoor Education, Watercolors, Film Appreciation, Robot Sculpture, Cooking and Culture, Transportation Exploration, and many others.
